Is this normal?
my male southern alligator lizard just started showing signs of shedding skin on his neck, about 1 to 2 inches . . . when I mist him the skin seems to go back down, but will come back up again after a bit. . . is this normal or something I should have looked at by a vet? Thanks,

Is this normal? when shedding you have to help it to shed...get none toxic tweezers, and wash your hands...i did this too at the very first time...take it off slowly and it will shed completly and i dont know about the misting and going up and down thing but just try to help it get out of its dirty skin :)

Is this normal? If its just the neck, that worries me. Allies shed all at once, not in pieces. However, what you described does sound like old skin, and its possible that the neck is the only part thats poppd up at the moment. I would suggest a warm bath for about 20 minutes and then place some warm stones in his cage for him to rub against.
