 Are fake plants safe for alligator lizards?

i bought a fake plant not from the pet store but from a normal store like a dollar store but im not sure if its safe..plus if they smell stuff like plastic or fake leaves and it may smell like plastic and fake leaves lol...then will they die?by the smell?

Fake plants, both silk and plastic, are fine. Just avoid putting them in water because they rust due to metal wires. If the plastic smells strong, you might want to buy a different one to avoid making your lizard ill.

The plants from the pet store are made from the same material, but most don’t have metal wires in them so that they can be placed in aquariums without the fear of harming the fish.

Plastic alone wont kill your lizard. After all you most likely have a bowl thats plastic, or a tank with plastic guards.

ya, i think silk and plastic plants are fine unless you put them in water, but my lizard seams to like real plants more. i know they need water and stuff, but on the whole lizards seam to like them more.
