i wanna get a red headed agama,does anyone have a nice handleable one, or can anyone recomend any other type of agama thats the most tameable, but the red headed agama is beautiful and right now at lllreptile store there selling it for 10 DOLLARS! and since im only 12 i have 20 buck to spend on whatever i want and i wanna get a agama!

I am also 12 and i think the chinese water dragon is the best type of agama they are easy to handle and are very freindly mine likes to walk around with me on my shoulder and they are very playful and they are only $24.00

Yes they are friendly. My daughter received one as a birthday gift last year and is in love with "Oscar".
Hers is not the red headed kind of butterfly agama so I’m not sure if that type is as friendly as hers. We can take it out of the cage and it lays on her lap. It has grown very little and prefers romaine lettuce and carrots and crickets.
You have to use a substrate or it will loose toes by scratching on the glass. I lay down a brown reptile carpet under the substrate. This way if he burrows he won’t hit the glass.
Best advice: do not use a heat rock. Use an under the tank heating mat and light.

I say Painted agama aka clown agama. I had one incredibly sweet. Mine loved to be handled and has a big heart and great personality. I’m even planning on getting another one.

Chinese water dragons may be docile but caring for them isn’t easy unless you have experience with them. Caging is expensive but food isn’t a problem for me and they can be stressed quickly.
