for females, normaly it’s 26°C (78.8°F) , don’t know the time, not to try because before i thought there is no TSD (temperature-dependent sex determination) So i tried last year only 29°C, and result was 100% males so i changed my opinion about it With searchs, i found that the first discover for the TDS on Agama Agama is in 1966 like many turtles or like crocodylus incubation of Agama Agama eggs has 4 informations: 1. TM: Temperature Male for 100% males at 29°C (84,2°F) 2. TF: Temperature Female for 100% females at 26°C (78.8°F) 3. TRT: Transition range of Temperature for a variable ratio male-female: TF to TM 4. TER: Temperature for Equal Ratio: 50% female 50% male, around 27.5°C (81,5°F) Regards, Olivier |

yes it’s a problem i had too somes WC females pregnants too, one of them lay 2 times, the second time eggs are bad stress,WC, not very good food complement on wild and after come in captivity, if females are pregnant it’s a danger and the eggs are not always very good with agama sankaranica i had this, all females are pregnant with advanced stage and all eggs are bad, only one are ok i thought but like you the eggs leaking before end and he died. if it’s the start of the pregnancy when there is an import, it could be good but if it’s near of the end of pregnancy it’s a realy bad: female could not to lay the eggs and died, or lay and died... when the eggs are leaking, 2 things: babys will born or they died before the end it’s the reason it’ll be more difficult with agama agama WC but after with captive born it’s very better i can see this with my male who are very good. if more people try to success with them, maybe one day, there will have more captive born good animal on the market Regards, Olivier |
