 Reasons of death?

hey all, i bought an albino corn snake a year ago...when i bought her she would not eat...took her a month to eat, after that...she ate and shed on time & never hesitated to feed. recently she started to turn a more yellowish color. Normally she was a white-yellow color, if that makes sense. Also she didn’t move around much. she was basically acting how she did when i first got her. i woke up this morning & she had passed, she hadn’t ate in about 3 weeks prior.....i’m just looking for an explanation of some sort..her temp & humidity was fine, she didnt seem stressed....any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Amberrae, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Unfortunately, those symptoms could result from any number of illnesses: infection, trauma, age... Reptiles are very good at hiding sickness, and in many cases we never know what felled them without a necropsy...and even them we are sometimes unsure.

If you decide to adopt another snake in the future, make sure to disinfect this tank just to be safe.

RIP little lady corn.

Very sorry to hear about that ... I have hatched out quite a few corn snakes in my time and some just don’t make it. The first year is one of the toughest. It always sad to have it happen.

I hope you find another someday ....my sympathies
