Do all snakes like small spaces??I watch some videos and people have their red tails, burms and other large snakes in cages and their squished in one corner. Aren’t they suppose to have a large enclosure??

All snakes like to hide. The more of their body that is pressed up against barriers, the more it feels like they are hiding.

So is it unusual that my burm doesn’t use his hide?? He’ll stay up in the branches or leaves at the highest part of his cage. Its weird because compared to my dumeril, red tail boas he’s the only one that likes to stay in the open. Also thanks for the helpful reply :)

My red tail will lounge stretched out many times day and night...also my Retic comes out at night for a stretch and in the morning will be curled up in the hide. I prefer more space as opposed to less. Especially since I gave them a 6 ft enclosure there is now a side / area that they use to defecate.
