their will always be different opinions, yes and no it was wrong.... its wrong because the snake was only their because its where it habitat was before the houses were, also they could of had someone relocate it.... but its not wrong because if your neighbor had kids it could of bitten them but like i said that’s also where relocation can come in. so theirs always mixed emotions on the subject of killing snakes in your yard. you cant blame the person all that much, yes it wasint needed but it probably made them feel more easy and comfortable that that snake wont hurt anyone.
thats were education can come in handy you could teach them that snakes are needed for many reasons like pest control and to keep the ecosystem alive and going .. and that their alternatives to killing them.

I support the "move over kill" school. These poor critters do a lot for us in keeping the vermin population down, least we can do is show them mercy.

I hate hearing about people killing snakes!

I live in a city overrun with skunks, you know what I do? I look out for skunks in the morning while walking to my car!

people need to realize these animals are a vital part of any ecosystem, take them out and you let rats overpopulate the area, I know id much rather look out for snakes then have rats every where!

the they have kids excuse is just that, an excuse! there is no reason to go killing any snake venomous or not, period! if you have kids its your job to 1 watch them until they are old enough to watch themselves and 2 teach them about potential hazards, be it don’t eat that, don’t touch that or look out for these! do your job parents and then there would be no need to go killing an innocent creature that did absolutely nothing wrong but be itself!

I feel bad for them. Snakes is one of the most misunderstood animal. Their helping us more than we are helping them. If it wasn’t for snakes farmers would be poor and humans wouldn’t have fruits/veggies to eat. Some people must not know when you take out one animal the whole food chain gets messed up and it’ll impact humans the most.
