#2272127 Cs123 View Profile	Lost snake tips anyone? alright..so i JUST bought about an 15inch Florida king snake 2 weeks ago and i loved it. I’ve wanted a snake my whole life and the worst thing possible happened.. The power got knocked out for the night and it must have gotten to cold in her tank during that night so she escaped. i need some tips on where she might go and how i can attract her..or if there is even any chance of her coming back. My power is now back on and I’m making the upstairs very cold besides my room where her pen is. I breed mice for her so they are also in my room. My upstairs is kind of big and the downstairs is a lot bigger. What are the chances of her still being in my room are since its the warmest room besides the downstairs and her food is in there? or should i just buy myself a new one? also i have completly searched my room and confirmed its not there. Im almost positive shes in the vents. What is the chance of getting her back if she went in the vent and in the walls? is there anyway of luring her out?

I just looked all along the floor, under couches, the frigerator, oven, dishwasher, washer, dryer, take your cloths and shake then out. my last snake that got out took a week to come back. I have also had a corn snake that was gone for 7 months and then showed back up. Just fry not to freak out so mush i am sure it will be ok. It is a vary nerve racking time to look in a tank and it not be there. she will try and go for warmth so definitely look in warm places.

#2272190 Xkabx View Profile	Message To: Cs123   In reference to Message Id: 2272160  Lost snake tips anyone? dont give up they stick around. actually its kinda crazy i see this post today as my buddy told me just 2 hours ago he found the snake i sold him that had been lost for 6 weeks, i was starting to fear that he had lost the snake for good but he saw it sneaking under a couch earlier today. a souple of tricks i told him to try: we set up a couple heat pads and put hides on them hoping he would see the heat and stay in the hide after a while i worried about water so i told him to put water bowls out and to sprinkle alittle flour around them thinking if he got a drink youd see a track and would kinda know a general area of the house to rip apart. like i said he just happened to be walking by as the snake was out and about none of these tricks worked in this case but i think those are a couple tricks id try if i lost a snake good luck

Along with a heat box and water with flour around them and have had no luck at all.. This really sucks because my step mom says I can’t get anymore snakes I have to fun that one.

Make sure to check her mouth/throat and listen to her breathing to rule out an early RI. If you are going to use the tub for the bath, fill and drain it first to rinse away any chemicals. Better would be a large storage tub, less chance of soap or other chemical residue. I’d also hold off feeding her for a day or two, both to let her destress and make sure all is well, as once you give her food you cannot bother her for a few days. Again, great news!
