well, here are some more pics. ;) all these snakes are from different localities in Virginia. 1st is a DOR Timber Rattler from near Amherst County.


this is a sub-adult Timber from Amherst County.


a juvenile Timber from Amherst.


an adult Timber from Amherst County.


and several Milks. 1st, a baby from Bedford County.


a juvenile from Bedford County.


another juvenile from Bedford County.


a 2008 juvenile from Amherst County.


an adult Milk from Bedford County.


a rescue adult Milk from Augusta County.


an adult Milk from Bedford County.


and last, another adult Milk from Bedford County.

very nice! I live in VA and go herping sometimes ive only seen a few milks in my area but there are timbers around here all the time. Saw a baby copperhead just the other day by a friends pool.

hi! ;) thanks! sorry i’m so late responding. they’re all Eastern Milks. they are in my collection. the rescue one is mine, too. i removed it from a guy’s house last year. and except for one other one, which was found under a board during the day, the rest were found on the road at night. i’ve never seen as many before as i’ve seen this year.

im not sure on all of them, but I know the last one is a red milksnake for sure, regular easterns generally dont have red as vibrant as that as adults

i think it’s just a really orangish Eastern. not to dispute you, but i don’t think we have syspila(Red Milk) in Virginia.

yeah, i think Reds are more mid-western, like around Missouri, Kansas, etc. thanks for the compliment! ;)
