 Driftwood prep

Iím going to post this in both snake and fish: I collected some driftwood for my aquariums and terrariums. Iíve heard prep methods, but was wondering who has used what successfully.

oh, and boiling helps get A LOT of the tannins out of the wood for fish tanks, tannins turn the water a redish color, they arent harmfull though
