Sexing and Characteristics:

Corn Snakes should be token to the vet, so they can be properly sexed.

Mostly Active During:

Night

Substrate and Water Needs:

You should fill your corn snakes water bowl everyday with fresh cool water. It doesn’t have to be from a bottle.

Lighting and UVB:

Your cornsnake will not need light since they are nocturnal but they should have some sort of a heat lamp.

Temperatures and Humidity:

The temp of your tank should range anywhere from 75-85 degrees Fahrenheit. The humidity of your tank should be from around 67-78 percent.

Heating and Equipment:

For the heating you can get a lamp that heats the tank. *However you must provide your tank with an under tank heating pad under half of the tank.

Caging Provided:

When your snake is small you could keep in in any where from the size of a shoe box to large aquarium. I prefer to keep mine in a 30 gallon tank so as it gets bigger I wont ever have to get a larger tank.

Diet:

Carnivorous

Description of Diet:

Pinkies when young and then fuzzies so on.. as the snake gets bigger you should upgrade the size of the food. The food your snake eats should be about the size of the belly on your snake. Safer to feed frozen food- don’t forget to thaw it out in warm water-

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

None really.

Maintenance:

You should handle your snake everyday and check the clearness of his eyes. You should also check for mites and anything out of the ordinary in personality or body image.

Some Words on this Species:

Corn snakes have a lifespan of up to 30 years and usually get a bout 5 ft long. So before u get a cornsnake consider reading up on them first. Make sure you have the room and the time for the snake.
