Mostly Active During:
Night
Substrate and Water Needs:
The absolute best substrate is paper towels. If you want something more natural and are not feeding crickets then bed a beast or a similar coconut fiber substrate is fine. Crested geckos dont need a water dish. However they do need a minimum of once a day misting. In dryer areas i suggest 2-3 times a day misting.
Lighting and UVB:
No UVB is neccessary. A day night cycle (12/12) is recomended though.
Temperatures and Humidity:
The temperatures in your cage should be between 70 and 80 degrees. During the night it can drop to 65 as long as it can warm up during the day. I suggest using NO heat, just use the room temp. If your room is to cold i suggest using a HUMAN heat pad set on low.
Heating and Equipment:
No heating is necessary if your room temp is between 70 and 80 during the day and no lower than 65 at night. You need a minimum 15 gallon for 1 adult, 20 gall tall for 2, and 30 gallon for 3.
Caging Provided:
I provide my 2 month old (still small) crested a 10 gallon aquarium. I would recomend no bigger than that until your crested is around 7 months old.
Diet:
Omnivorous
Description of Diet:
You can feed crickets, baby food, or crested gecko diet (gargoyle gecko diet is fine). Feed every night and remove food in the morning. If you feed crickets make sure to leave food for them in the cage or they might attack your crested. If you feed crested gecko or gargoyle gecko diet you probably wont notice it eating it.
Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:
If you feed crested gecko or gargoyle gecko diet to vitamins or calcium is necessary. If you feed crickets make sure they are calcium dusted.
Maintenance:
All you need to do is mist once a day, clean up poop every day, and change the substrate weekly.
