Paper towels
DO NOT USE SAND OR ANY OTHER LOOSE SUBSTRATE AS THIS CAN AND WILL CAUSE IMPACTION. |
Lighting and UVB: | You can use:
Repti Sun 8.0 or 10.0
Repti Glo 8.0 or 10.0 (what i use)
You will need approximately a 100 watt basking bulb depending on where you live. |
Temperatures and Humidity: | Warm side: 85-88
basking: any where from 95-115
cool side: 80-84 |
Heating and Equipment: | Explained in Lighting and UVB |
Caging Provided: | For a baby start off with a 20 gallon. Once they hit 12 inches, move them to a 40 gallon minimum. 55 gallons for two beardies. |
Diet: | Omnivorous |
Description of Diet: | They will eat collard, dandelion, kale, squash, bok choy, mustard greens , carrots, romaine.
DO NOT FEED ICE BURG LETTUCE AS THIS IS MAINLY WATER AND WILL CAUSE DIARRHEA.
Crickets, mealworms, superworms, waxworms, hornworms, cockroaches...and the occasional pinkie mouse. |
Supplements, Nutrition and Usage: | Monday-Friday = |Calcium
Saturday-Sunday= Vitamin powder |
Maintenance: | They are relatively easy to care for. But dont be fooled this species is very expensive! |
