Sexing and Characteristics:

MALES: About 3 x bigger then females, two bumps at base of tale. USUALLY does not have white stripe.
FEMALE: Smaller, white stripe.
NEVER MIX MALES THEY WILL FIGHT TO THE DEATH.

Mostly Active During:

Day

Substrate and Water Needs:

I use reptile bark but you can use potting soil or snake bedding.
Anoles don’t drink still water so mist their cage twice a day and you can put a small waterfall in with misting effects. NEVER USE SAND OR FERTILIZER IF CONSUMED IT COULD BE FATAL.

Lighting and UVB:

UVB and UVA is a must.

Temperatures and Humidity:

Humidity should be around 70%. Basking temp around 90F. Cage temp 70-80F.

Heating and Equipment:

UVA/UVB and basking light. Don’t forget about the thermometer.
NEVER USE HEAT ROCKS THEY WILL BURN YOUR LIZARD.

Caging Provided:

Use the ten gallon for lizard rule. Add substrate, a plant, a basking rock, a small waterfall if wanted, and other lizard friendly stuff.

Diet:

N/A

Description of Diet:

Insectivores-They like crickets, grasshoppers, meal worms (as a treat). They eat a lot of stuff but what is listed is what I give them.

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

Dust vitamin supplement on the cricket every three days.

Maintenance:

Wash the cage and change the substrate once a month. Take dead bugs out of cage daily.

Some Words on this Species:

Even though fun these or not beginner pets. Make sure you have at least two anoles. They don’t like to be handled it stresses them out. They can live years if cared for properly. Good Luck!
