Sexing and Characteristics:
You can tell if they are male or female by looking under them...
characteristic:when the tail is in the air, it is a warning, when they r angry.
Mostly Active During:

Substrate and Water Needs:
For the gecko to drink, the owner can
1. spray its face, and it will lick it off.
2. put a cotton bud or 2 in a water bottle lid filled with water and the gecko will absorb.
3. fill a large, very shallow (0.5cm high) lid of water.
The tank can/should have a few places for the gecko to hide in, large flat rocks under light, sticks, and i also use sand (about nearly a cm high on 2/3 of the ground) and gum tree leaves.
Lighting and UVB:
I use 2 long globes, one slightly blue and 1 normal one.
Temperatures and Humidity:
Southern leaf tailed geckos like it cool, 22 - 28 degrees celsius with high humidity (around 80%).
Heating and Equipment:
In the winter, i have a heat pad under one half of one tile, and one half of another (/3 tiles)
Caging Provided:
I had a tank with dimensions of 96cm wide x 80cm high x 35 deep.
Diet:
Carnivorous
Description of Diet:
Roughly 5-8 crickets every 2-3 days. (for 1 gecko) and it also depends, sometimes they get more hungry and eat more, and sometimes they don’t eat for like 4 days.

Well the scientific name is saltuarius swaini.
Southern leaf-tailed geckos are unique (well so is every reptile) because they can absorb water and like most geckos, can change colour (from kinda brownish or grey to dark) They are arboreal and nocturnal.
