Sexing and Characteristics:
Females lighter patches are more white than silver/blue like the males

Substrate and Water Needs:
Gravel, eco-earth and anything lose that the salamander can burrow into substrate should be shallow unless you only want to see your pet once a year at the breeding season the substrate should be kept moist at all times ,a small bowl of water should be available to soak in
Lighting and UVB:
None is needed for this nocturnal salamander but a little during the day will not hurt
Temperatures and Humidity:
Temperature should be kept at a constant 75 during the day and can fall to a low 60 at night, misting once a day will keep the substrate moist and the humidity at a substantial level
Heating and Equipment:
Heating should not be needed unless you live in a cold climate and a heat mat covering one side of the vivarium should keep your salamander warm
Caging Provided:
I provide a 10 gallon vivarium for one salamander with a lot of hiding places for him to hide so that he doesn’t have to burrow away, I also provide a small water dish for him to soak in at night

Description of Diet:
Crickets are the main diet along with a couple of chopped earth worms
Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:
Crickets are gut loaded with a supplement of calcium over them.
Maintenance:
Change substrate every 3 months, with spot cleans every week
