Sexing and Characteristics:
A) Get it probed by an experienced vet, preferably NOT right after hatching.
B) If the tail suddenly narrows to a point, it is probably female, but if it goes down gradually then it is probably male. Not always one-hundred percent accurate.

Substrate and Water Needs:
I would reccomend newspaper, Corns love to burrow around in it, but make sure the print if non-toxic (don’t use color print)
Lighting and UVB:
In the winter, use a standard reptile heat lamp (available at your local pet store). Temperatures and Humidity:
Try to keep it in the mid to high eighties.
Heating and Equipment:
As I said, heat lamp in winter, no lamp needed in summer. Always use a heat pad on one side of the cage.

10 gallon tank will last the first four years, after that I recommend a thirty gallon.

Use a mouse or rat, no bigger than the thickest part of the snakes body.
