Sexing and Characteristics:

I have one male newt. He used to have a partner but she died.

Mostly Active During:

Day

Substrate and Water Needs:

Since I now have 1 newt, he resides in a 5 gallon tank. There is a rock(plastic) and in one corner of the tank and a mount of rocks (not leaving the water) with a floating plant on top.

Lighting and UVB:

I have a Blue UV light for the lighting...

Temperatures and Humidity:

I dont really keep track of the temperature. What ever it is at, works for him.

Heating and Equipment:

N/a

Caging Provided:

A plastic 5 gallon tank..plastic cover.

Diet:

Carnivorous

Description of Diet:

Frozen blood worms (doesnt like freezed dried or pellets)

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

I feed my newt once I notice his stomach thinning out. He usually forages around the bottom of the tank when he begins to get hungry.

Maintenance:

Once every week I cahnge 2/3 of the water and sift the rocks.
