Substrate and Water Needs:

Bark is a a good type of substrate you should put a water dish big enough for your children’s python to fit in

Lighting and UVB:

Uvb is not required neither is lighting but you have to have either a under tank heater or a basking lamp ceramic heat emitter do the best also with the uvb don’t get scared your snake will get metabolic bone disease. snakes get their calcium supplement a different way then most other reptiles

Temperatures and Humidity:

Humidity should be moderate the temperature should be 80- 90 degrees Fahrenheit

Heating and Equipment:

For heating as i said you can either use an under tank heater or a basking lamp you also need caves for your snake to hide in to escape the heat

Caging Provided:

Throughout their lives children’s pythons only need about a 20 gallon aquarium i personally had a 20 gallon for 4 years until i upgraded to a 40 gallon

Diet:

Carnivorous

Description of Diet:

Pinkies when they are hatching’s as they grow older they can eat fuzzies at about 4 years they can move up to 2 fuzzies however do not get an adult mouse instead of 2 fuzzies although they have the about the exact same mass of meat adult mice are to fat for 4 year old children’s pythons at about 5 years you can move up to adult mice

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

Dust lightly with calcium supplements

Maintenance:

All you need to do is remove the waste outside of the tank

Although they enjoy being handled children’s pythons tend to bite frequently if you are not careful overall they are a good beginners python and only grow up to 4 feet
